According to Yu Qian, a special correspondent for the Global Times in Japan, according to the "New Japan Overseas Press", while China is welcoming a rapid economic development, environmental pollution and water pollution have also attracted attention from all walks of life. Taking this opportunity, relevant Japanese companies will launch a major market offensive against China in the field of water treatment membranes, the core of water purification technology.
According to news from Japan's "Nikkei", Japan's famous water holding company Mitsubishi Rayon Co., Ltd. issued a statement on December 21, 2010 that it will officially introduce high-tech water treatment membrane production technology into China.
Mitsubishi Rayon plans to invest 20 to 40 billion yen by 2015, and strives to increase the turnover of water treatment-related businesses to 70 billion yen. Mitsubishi Rayon will expand its overseas business and focus on the Chinese market due to the expected increase in China's industrial water recycling and demand for water purification equipment.
Mitsubishi Liyang will cooperate with China National Engineering Corporation Beijing Bishuiyuan Technology to establish a joint venture. The company intends to invest 3 billion yen to establish a water treatment membrane plant in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. The plant is expected to begin operation in 2012. Mitsubishi Liyang will also establish a joint venture with China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group and Shanghai Industry in the spring of 2011, and officially begin exporting water purification equipment such as sewage drainage equipment and water treatment membranes to China.
Japan experienced high-speed economic development after the war, and has its own method of dealing with environmental pollution caused by high-speed economic development. As a leading enterprise in the environmental treatment industry, Mitsubishi Liyang has mastered advanced technologies such as membrane separation activated sludge process.
After China's reform and opening up, it also ushered in a period of rapid economic development, as did post-war Japan. At the same time, urban environmental pollution has also become an important issue, especially the improvement of water quality in large urban centers has been put on the agenda.
Therefore, Mitsubishi Liyang seized this opportunity, optimistic about the big market in China, developing a series of businesses from production, sales to operations, and expected to increase operating profit by eight percentage points.
